Free 2010 Kentucky Derby Picks & Predictions

The moment you have all been waiting for, another Casino Guide Canada News Post. Except this post is a bit more special than previous posts, special in the good way. The CGC Team has come to somewhat of a consensus with our free 2010 Kentucky Derby picks listed below.

Before you check our free 2010 Kentucky Derby picks and predictions, we would like to share a little insight with your devoted followers. Did you know that last year in all of the fourteen Breeders Cup races that only 4 thoroughbreds were victorious at odds of 10:1 or greater? Now you may be wondering why you should care about this?. Well, allow us to explain. This means in order to get paid a lot of money, you will get more bang for your buck when you place exotic wagers.

What are exotic wagers?

Exotic wagers are not those that are only found in the rainforest under a praying mantis plant. Exotic wagers are explained below in two parts; single exotic wagers and multiple exotic wagers.

Single exotic wagers are made up of exacta wagers, trifecta wagers and superfecta wagers. Do not be discouraged, those are just funny names, with simple meanings. An exacta wager means you are picking the 1st and 2nd place winners in order. If you are unsure of which out of the two horses will place 1st and which horse will place 2nd but you have a good feeling they both will be in the top two places, you can box your exacta. This increases your chances of winning because now it doesn’t matter which place out of 1st and 2nd your two horses place, as long as they both beat every other horse in the field.

The trifecta wager expands the above mentioned exacta wager to also include a 3rd place winner, and I think you can then guess what the superfecta wager does. The superfecta wager opens up the trifecta to include a 4th place winner, this is a bet for horse betting men with brass.

Now that you have a rough idea of what single exotic wagers are, allow us to move right along to multiple exotic wagers.

Multiple exotic wagers refer to the Daily Double wager, Pick 3 wager, Pick 4 wager and finally a Pick 6 wager, sorry there is no Pick 5 wager because that would just make too much sense.

What is a Daily Double wager?

Firstly, the Daily Double wager has nothing to do with coffee or a game of jeopardy. The Daily double wager means you are picking the 1st place winners of two different races run consecutively. I often like to do this for heavy favorites.

Next up we have the famous Pick Wager which includes Pick 3 wager, Pick 4 wager and last but definitely not least we have the Pick 6 wager. Pick wagers pretty much follow similar logic as the above Daily Double wager, however they are expanded over three, four or six consecutive races. The Pick 6 wager is actually not as hard as it seems, as you only need to pick 5/6 winners so you get essentially you get a freebie. Pick wagers can get a bit risky, but the payouts are also pretty ridiculous!

Juvenile Turf Race – Although cats usually tend to scare me, Becky’s Kitten is sure to excel in this race and be declared the winner. Photo finish I’m guessing!

Dirt Mile Race – Although this horse is not from Chicago, we have to go with Bullsbay in this mile race.

Juvenile Race – Let the children have their fun, and this race is sure to have it opened up. We predict Beethoven to win this race, which would be music to my bank account.

Mile Race – Again, you cannot mess with experience and therefore we are sticking with last year’s favorite Goldikova for this race.

Sprint Race – Although this horse’s sexual identity may be called into question, we have to put our money on Gayego for this race.
Turf Race – For this race we have to go with Spanish Moon who comes in with a winning record, gracias!

Classic – Rocky and Bullwinkle actually dropped out of this race, so we have to go with the 2nd favorite, Rip Van Winkle. Bet lightly for this one please.

Currently the oddsmakers have the Miami Dolphins as +1 ½ point underdogs at home. Both of these teams have struggled in the last decade or so and some would say this game doesn't matter…tell that to the millions of fans that will be watching this Sunday. Both of these teams have a lot to prove and this should be one heck of bloodbath. Usually in bloodbaths, it's the support and motivation from the home crowd that could be the deciding factor. With that said, I like the Dolphins with the spread this Sunday.

Next up we have our third and final pick. Yes, it is another Canadian team up to bat…or hockey stick. The Maple Leafs lost a tough one the other night against the Montreal Canadians, in a game where they should have won. Unfortunately, the Washington Capitals look 10 times better than they did last season and they just might run over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Although I'm cheering for the Leafs, I do not think the new Leaf players are comfortable with each other yet and Luke Schenn looks mighty shaky in his sophomore year. New European Blackjack, Free NFL Week 3 Predictions & NHL glimpse!

With our 3 rd and final pick for NFL Week 3 we have the Indianapolis Colts, lead by Payton Manning's heroics from last week, heading into Phoenix Arizona to battle it out with Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals. The small high that the Colts are riding after last week's win will be short-lived. Common misconceptions about this Sunday's game between the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals are that Larry Fitzgerald is not really a Jewish man from Hampstead , Quebec (popular Jewish suburb) and Payton Manning is not actually appearing live in those commercials you see during TV commercial breaks for Sony, Direct TV and MasterCard. Ladies and gentleman, those commercials are pre-taped. We feel that if Payton Manning spent more time on the practice field this season rather than in Hollywood , he might not be getting ready for his first loss of the season this Sunday against the Cardinals.

NFL Week 2 Picks and Predictions

Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs

Yes, for somebody that is not a big Raiders Nation fan, I've been talking about them a lot as of late because they remind me of the Bad News Bears of the NFL. The 49er's are looking a lot better than previous years. The odds makers currently have the 49er's favored to win by -1 ½ points . To that I say, “I concur”. If you are going to place a bet on this game, I would take the San Francisco 49er's to cover the -1 ½ point spread.

Brady's BACK! Well I guess Tom Brady's guest appearance in the show Entourage playing himself was a sign that Tom Brady is back to claim his throne. After a shaky start against the Buffalo Bills last week, Tom Brady regrouped and came back as only he could in the 4 th quarter. Must have been something Turtle said to him. Between Brady, Moss & Faulk, I don't think Sanchez will have a chance this Sunday, and the New York Jets will definitely will not cover the +4 point spread that that odds makers currently have them at.

For Thursday's tilt between the Titans and Steelers, I said the Titans would over the 6.5 point spread, which they did. For yesterday's games, I said the Eagles would cover the 3 point spread, which they did. Do you see the pattern yet? Where I got lazy was with my Cowboys pick. Even though I stated that the Cowboys were going to win, I didn't think they would win by as much as they did. Now that I have a little hot streak going, I think I'll make my picks for the double header Monday Night Football games.

First up, we have T.O. and the Buffalo Bills heading into New England to play the New England Patriots. Currently Bodog has the Patriots favored by 13 points and to that I say HAHAHAHHA. There is no way the Buffalo Bills are going to lose this game by 13 points this early on in the season. The Bills, lead by QB Trent Edwards, had a great pre-season and they are known to have great Septembers, it's just the last 5 months of the season they have problems with. Taking into account Brady's rust, my pick for this one is either the Bills on the moneyline which is very risky, but the payout is great, or the Bills to cover +13!

Next we have the Oakland Raiders in San Diego to face the Chargers . Bodog currently has the Chargers at -10.5 favorites as they should be. As of last week, the Oakland Raiders were still practicing without pads, just working on the fundamentals, so I doubt they will be ready for the Chargers tonight. I suggest you take the Chargers to cover the -10.5 spread. 

In short, for tonight's Monday nighters take the Bills and Chargers to cover!

Hello friends and strangers, I hope you have prepared yourself for yet another post and another spectacular NFL season . I can't remember the last time an NFL season had so much buzz going into it and that is why I have planned to sit at home all day tomorrow, cell-phone off, breakfast, lunch and dinner all on the coffee table, blinds closed, face paint on and pants off.

This NFL season brings us a lot of new faces into the NFL, a lot of old faces on new teams and a couple of players out of jail and retirement respectively. Honestly, which professional sports league can bring you all of that in one week?

As far as new faces are concerned, there are a couple of rookies that you should checking for, and perhaps picking them up in your fantasy pool if you got room or to bet on . 

Mark Sanchez  QB, drafted #1 overall by the New York Jets, seen above. This guy could be the real deal, too bad his team sucks. All jokes aside, the New York Jets are actually looking pretty good this season with a very improved offensive line. Now that Favre has shipped his personal belongings (wheelchair, Viagra, Metamucil) to Minnesota, Sanchez will get a lot of playing time and should be putting up some good numbers.

Another rookie you should add to your NFL fantasy pool is Wide Receiver, Jeremy Maclin of the Philadelphia Eagles. Even Donovan " Chunky Soup" McNabb had nothing but good things to say about this soon to be all-star wide out. Maclin was a force to be reckoned with in college where he made his opposition look like they were playing high school football. To get an idea of this man's cheetah like speed, check out his 99 yard kickoff return when he played for Mizzou .

Fortunately for the Philadelphia Eagles, Jeremy Maclin is not the only new face in this year's lineup. Pet Lover Du Jour, Michael Vick is one of the newest members to suit up in the White and Hunter-Green. Vick, featured here as the loving and cuddly pet lover with his puppy Binky prior to his prison sentence.  With Vick's mistakes behind him, he is looking to start fresh with the Eagles and so far good no? Vick was received with a standing ovation after his first game by his loyal teammates after going 3/3 for 17 yards in his first pre-season game back. If Binky and the Eagles can support him, surely we can too!

With a whopping 13 NFL games slated for tomorrow, Sunday, September 13th, allow me to pick some of the winners. I said some, not all.

First off we have the Philadelphia Eagles Vs. Carolina Panthers. The experts have the current spread at -3 for the Eagles. I am by no means an expert, but I also think the Eagles will win by at least 3 points. McNabb looks great so far and knows he has Michael Vick chomping at the chance to play so McNabb has something to prove yet once again. Let's just hope for McNabb's sake that this game does not go into overtime. Click on the helmets below to see a more in depth preview and statistical analysis for this upcoming game.

Now I don't want to get carried away with my picks so I am only going to give you guys one more pick. I prefer we take things slow, and if we like each other maybe we can have 4 picks for next Sunday okay? It's not you, it's me.

With my next and final pick I have the Dallas Cowboys covering the -6 spread against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Currently the experts have the spread at -6 for the Dallas Cowboys, and even though I think the Buccaneers will put up a fight and force some interceptions from Romo , I do not believe they are going to cover the +6 spread. The NFL Season Kicks Off Today!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, it's that time again, not Christmas, but the start of another NFL Season. A life with Bodog

We don't think we have done a very good job of containing our excitement of the possibility of Bodog coming to Canada, however allow us to take a moment to reflect on what would happen if Bodog launched in Canada and started to accept players from Canada. What would it mean for you the player if Bodog Canada came to fruition?

Firstly you would have a new option to play at a place that takes pride in superior Customer Service.
